  • Original Winchester hard plastic buttpad
  • Solid sterling silver oval on grip cap that is scroll engraved of original owner "Dr. E.E. Gay"
  • Deluxe fleur-de-les checkering on buttstock
  • Appears unfired with no primer ring on bolt face
  • WS1 marked on left side of barrel
  • Very nice engraving on left side of receiver is a bird dog in pointing stance with misc. trees
  • Has nautilus shell engraving at takedown area
  • Has a dove type game bird engraved on bottom portion of magazine tube just above serial number
  • Bolt and shell feed have been hand engine turned
  • Trigger guard has been engraved
  • Right side of receiver has two mallards rising off a pond with marsh grass (nicely done)
  • Manufactured in 1953
